About the role

Killara feedlot is a modern 20,000 head feedlot located near Quirindi, on the edge of the Liverpool Plains, NSW. An opportunity exists for a full time Leading Hand.

**Responsibilities**:
As Livestock Supervisor you will have a varying day including:

- Daily observation, health management of Livestock to ensure animal welfare
- Assist with the planning, arrival, processing and exiting of stock at Killara
- Supervise Pen Riding team
- Knowledge of veterinary drugs associated with Horse Husbandry & Feedlotting
- Oversee cleaning & maintenance of stock water supplies & stables
- Manual handling of animals in the feedlot
- Manage & measure workloads. Prioritise, monitor processes, progress & results
- Provide support across broader Killara Feedlot Team

About you

To succeed at Elders, you will possess:

- An understanding of animal nutrition and previous feedlot experience (2+ years)
- A strong commitment to animal health
- Excellent horsemanship and riding capabilities
- Can provide at least 1 x Horse, maximum of 2 plus tack
- Commitment to safety and zero harm policy
- Proven problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Team player
- Reliable and highly motivated
- Ability to work autonomously and follow direction
- Knowledge of Stock Aid, FY & Weighbridge Software Programmes
- Reliable & highly motivated
