**The Opportunity**:
Working with a dedicated and experienced team, in this role you will assist with all young stock feeding and management activities at our progressive operation located at Gooloogong, in Central West NSW. Experience in handling cattle is essential for this role. Applicants must be self-motivated, reliable, and work well in a team environment.

**About AFMH**:
AFMH operates multiple sites across eastern Australia. Dairy operations are located at Moxey Farms in Gooloogong, NSW, as well as Coomboona Farms in Coomboona, VIC. In addition, AFMH operates Ladysmith Farms a young stock operation near Wagga Wagga, NSW and extensive cropping land in Torrumbarry, VIC.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Daily checks of heifers, monitoring feed availability and health of young stock
- Assisting with young stock activities as part of management programs including vaccinations, drafting and movement between farms.
- Identification of health conditions and administering of treatments as required
- Barn management, assisting with animal movements, pen cleaning and bedding replacement through the various stages of heifer housing
- Operation of equipment such as tractor and skid steer to deliver supplementary feed in line with nutritional goals and growth targets
- Other general farming duties as required

**The successful applicant**:

- Must be willing to undertake a Q Fever test and immunisation (if required) along with preemployment medical testing
- Must have general livestock experience
- Must have a current driver's license with access to own transport
- Will possess a strong work ethic with the desire to be part of a growing business
- Will have strong communication skills with a strong team spirit and a commitment to attendance and punctualityAble to follow protocols and adhere to safety standards
