The Questacon Retail Team is responsible for managing all aspects of Questacon retail to a high commercial standard, ensuring our visitors receive an immersive shopping experience where they become engaged with science through our products. This includes the Questacon Retail Shop, online shop, pop-up shops and various other retail activities.

**What you will do**:
Retail Assistants are responsible for assisting the Retail Management Team in the smooth operation of all aspects of Questacon Retail to a high commercial standard. This includes assisting in the day-to-day operation of the shop and assisting in the running of the online shop and various other retail activities.

The **APS Level 2 Casual Retail Assistant** is responsible for assisting the Retail Management Team in the smooth operation of all aspects of Questacon Retail to a high commercial standard.

The **Casual Retail Assistant** will undertake the following duties:

- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the shop, online shop and various other retail activities, including operating point-of-sale processes including cash handling.
- Create a positive visitor experience and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.
- Completion of mailouts.
- Assist in the receipt and recording of new stock and inventory.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
- Pick, pack, process and ship online orders.
- Assist in stocktakes and other warehouse duties as required.
- Provide casual surge support to:

- The Questacon Memberships program and Schools Experience program membership program during busy periods, including processing forms, responding to customer enquiries, and other administration requests.
- The Schools Experience Program, assisting in the management of school bookings, responding to booking enquiries and other general administration.
- The casual role requires you to work non-standard casual hours including weekdays, evenings, public holidays and weekends. _

The **APS Level 3 Ongoing Retail Assistant** is responsible for maintaining the visual presentation of the shop at all times, developing attractive displays that enhance our products and connect our visitors to STEM.

The **Ongoing Retail Assistant** is responsible for the following:

- Assist in all daily operations of the shop, including opening and closing across the seven day a week operations.
- Manage point-of-sale processes, including end of day procedures and banking.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.
- Pick, pack, process and ship online orders.
- Assist in the receipt and recording of new stock and inventory, provide feedback on product levels and action credits to suppliers for faulty goods.
- Assist in training and communication to casual staff.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
- Maintain a fully stocked store.
- Assist in stocktakes and other warehouse duties as required.
- Undertake other duties as directed to ensure the retail business operates to a high retail standard.
- The ongoing role requires you to work non-standard hours shared i.e. Work an average of 37.5 hours per seven days of a two week settlement period, including public holidays and weekends._
