Head Of Enterprise Architecture

We are currently seeking to appoint a **Head of Enterprise Architecture** to join our IT Strategy, Architecture and Delivery team, based out of John Holland's state-of-the-art Flinders Gate office.

As a direct report to the GM Strategy, Architecture & Delivery this position will be accountable for the planning, refinement, realisation, and ongoing evolution of solutions across the technology portfolio.

This role will be responsible for leading architecture and working with stakeholders to deliver prioritised roadmaps to achieve the required business outcomes.

**About the Role**:

- Provide leadership and manage internal resources (Enterprise Architect, and Solution Architect)
- Provide direction to domain, solution architects and designers.
- Develop Enterprise Architecture and Roadmaps.
- Provide an architecture led approach to defining the change program.
- Translate business and technology strategy into overall architecture roadmaps and define end to end architectures that support the strategy.
- Implement long term strategic goals and tactical plans for managing and maintaining enterprise technology and software.
- Ensure that proposed and existing solution architectures are aligned with organisational goals, objectives and fit the existing enterprise environment.
- Develop, document, and communicate plans for investing in solution architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and system flexibility and scalability.
- Survey market landscape for solution insights, direction, vendors, and methods.
- Provide input into business cases to help define end to end solutions and hence refine TCO.
- Assist in the ongoing evolution and maturity of the architecture practice and lead the domain architecture working group.
- Document and maintain the organisation's existing architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and / or alternatives and architectural plans.
- Chair the Architecture Review Forum (ARF) and assist with defining ARF submissions.
- Develop architecture guiding principles, standards, and design guidelines.
- Provide quality assurance for services within the solution area.
- Assist in the development, documentation, and communication of policies for standardising technology and software as necessary.
- Define high level architecture scope for planned and proposed initiatives with Planning & Governance team.
- Manage enterprise technical debt.
- Work with delivery teams to develop scalable solutions and products.

**About You**:
This position will require you to hold a Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, as well as having significant experience as a Solutions Architect. You will have spent time in an Enterprise Architect role and have led a program architecture team or architecture function.

You will be able to demonstrate:

- Experience in supporting complex technology portfolios/programs in hybrid environments.
- Knowledge in undertaking Enterprise Architecture using industry capability models.
- Extensive knowledge of IT planning and operations, design, and deployment, as well as system life cycle management.
- Practical skills and knowledge in:

- Business Analysis
- Integration design and principles
- Network design and principles
- Information processing principles and practices
- Software evaluation principles and practices
- Project management
- Infrastructure and engineering design
- DevOps
- System security measure and principles
- Cloud platforms
- Knowledge of highly available, highly scalable cloud-based infrastructures (AWS or alike) and other third party outsourced components and continuous delivery.
