We are seeking an innovative and strategic Head of IT Architecture to spearhead our technology vision and architect the future of our IT landscape. Reporting directly to the CIO, this is a career-defining opportunity to shape enterprise architecture, AI & data strategy, and technology governance at the Great Australian Food Company - Bega Group
This role offers the unique opportunity to lead technological transformation across our 20 manufacturing sites and drive innovation in Australia's largest dairy and food manufacturing business, home to beloved brands like Vegemite, Dairy Farmers, Bega Cheese, and Pura.
Responsibilities
Drive Strategic Architecture : Lead the development and execution of enterprise architecture strategy, strategic planning, and technology roadmaps that align with business objectives and support our vision to be The Great Australian Food Company.
Champion Innovation : Oversee AI & data architecture design, evolution, and governance, researching and evaluating emerging technologies to drive competitive advantage and operational excellence across our diverse manufacturing operations.
Lead with Authority : Manage central technical strategy, chair Architecture Review Board activities, and provide expert direction in all technology-related decisions while maintaining alignment with core company values and principles.
Build Strategic Partnerships : Cultivate strong relationships with technology vendors, industry experts, and internal stakeholders, bringing fresh perspectives and collaborative energy to support business growth across our FMCG operations.
Deliver Value Realisation : Ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value, focusing on sustainability enablement, security architecture, and operational efficiency across our national manufacturing footprint.
About you
Strategic Technology Leader : You hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, with proven expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF and extensive knowledge of manufacturing or FMCG industry requirements.
Proven Executive : You bring 10+ years of progressive leadership experience with demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams, large-scale technology projects, and driving digital transformation in complex manufacturing environments.
Architecture Expert : You are certified in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with deep expertise in AI & data architecture, enterprise governance, security architecture, and integration patterns relevant to manufacturing and retail operations.
Industry Specialist : You have significant experience in FMCG, retail, or manufacturing industries, with strong understanding of operational technologies, supply chain systems, and regulatory compliance requirements in food manufacturing.
Exceptional Communicator : You excel at articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, with superior analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proven skills in stakeholder management and vendor relationship managemennt
