About the role
The Clinical Nurse - Clinical Facilitator (CF) plans, implements and evaluates clinical learning opportunities at a ward/clinical unit/workplace level to support clinicians to provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-focused services. Clinical Facilitators develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clinicians and educators to enable education services to be available and accessible within the clinical setting.
This position has an initial work allocation within Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Service (NMERS). Major portfolios for this position include: coordination, orientation, and support for undergraduate and other clinical placements. This position has trainer responsibilities for patient handling, basic life support, venepuncture and cannulation as well as the implementation, review, and management of mandatory and requisite requirements as required.
About you
- Demonstrate clinical experience and contemporary knowledge relevant to this role.
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the assessment of clinical skills and positive feedback frameworks.
- Demonstrate advanced level of interpersonal and written communication skills to enable accurate, complete, and timely information transfer.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively within both clinical and education teams to meet service imperatives within designated timeframes and resource allocations
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
