**Your role as a Supervisor Building Facilities will involve**:
- Responsible for overseeing the building maintenance / servicing of all building facilities on the East Perth site
- Supervise the Trades Assistants in the completion of all daily Mex requests and facilities tasks.
- Investigate building related breakdowns and conduct repairs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Recommend repairs, maintenance and replacement of deteriorated areas resulting from age / wear and tear.
- Ensure that external contractors meet with Perth Mint's Contractor Management requirements, Insurances, Security Clearances and induction compliance requirements etc.
- Oversee job coordination and management of external contractors while on the site.
- Ensure that all staff and external contractors are not exposed to workplace hazards by completing and reviewing Take 5 and Job Safety analysis for all tasks at hand.
- Ensure a safe system of work, adequately controlling all workplace hazards, and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory legislation.
- Justify and raise purchase orders for service providers, equipment and materials and liaise with Procurement.
- Provide the delivery of a high standard of facilities service at cost effective rates to ensure expenditure is maintained against budget.
**We are looking for someone who has the following**:
- Diploma of Facilities Management or a Recognised Trade Certificate (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in facilities and building management maintenance.
- Interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy
- Strong time management
- Thrives working in a team, and collaborative environment
**Requirements for the role**:
- Required to be on-call in the event of operational problems.
- Weekend/out of hours work may be required to accommodate site customers and the operational requirements of the site.
- The position works both in an office environment and throughout the site.
- The role involves a lot of walking, climbing stairs and ladders.
- Comfortable walking and working at heights on roof walkways.
