Home Job Info Position of Leadership Role Description/Criteria We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Diversity Leader to join our team.
'Learning diversity' refers to the infinite variety of life experiences and attributes that learners bring with them to school.
Their age, gender, religion, socioeconomic background, cultural background, physical and emotional attributes and cognitive abilities can all influence the way they learn.
The Learning Diversity Leader is a member of the Child Safety Team and the Student Support Team.
This role attracts a Position of Leadership Allowance (POL 1).
The Successful Applicant Will:Support the identification of children who require additional learning support in collaboration with classroom teachers.Support staff to develop and implement individualised learning, behaviour and safety plans for students with diverse needs.Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure the appropriate support and adjustments are in place to bring student success.Support the development of teacher knowledge around the creation of PLPs and Smart Goals.Ensure that, where appropriate and feasible, allied health recommendations are incorporated into programs and plans developed by teachers for children.Facilitate Program Support Group Meetings (PSGs) with families and allied health professionals to discuss learning adjustments, supports within the classroom space, goals and progress.Support teachers to monitor student progress, analyse data, and adjust learning plans accordingly.
Contribute to the development and review of school policies and assist with the school's adherence to the MACS Medical Management Process.Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in inclusive education.Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
