This role focuses on driving business growth through automation. The ideal candidate will blend off-the-shelf platforms with custom-built solutions to reduce manual efforts, speed up delivery, and enhance commercial value.
Responsibilities
Develop and lead the roadmap for internal platforms, integrating off-the-shelf and custom-built solutions to drive efficiency and innovation.
Mentor a team of engineers, providing growth opportunities and constructive feedback to ensure their professional development.
Promote adoption of automation solutions, designing and implementing adoption plans to track usage metrics and optimize performance.
Evaluate build vs buy decisions, leading rapid scoping and ROI modeling to inform strategic investments.
Ensure secure, API-first architecture through technical oversight and guidance.
Make informed decisions that align work with commercial returns and customer outcomes.
Requirements
Experience delivering internal systems and automation projects in complex environments.
Proven leadership experience, growing and mentoring engineers to achieve individual and team goals.
Strong understanding of Agile delivery, system ownership, and change management principles.
Commercial acumen, confident in ROI modeling and impact-led prioritization.
Technical fluency with APIs, integration design, and security best practices.
Bonus: familiarity with platforms like Power Automate or UiPath.
Success Metrics
Team performance: engaged team, consistent delivery, low staff turnover.
Feature adoption: at least 85% of intended users actively use new features within 90 days.
Return on investment: each project delivers a clear, measurable benefit within 12 months.
Sprint delivery: at least 85% of planned work completed each sprint.
