**Our Opportunity**

Reporting to the Hospital and Medical Team Leader, the Claims Consultant will be responsible for a range of tasks relating to the handling of claims received from Hospital and Medical Providers. This includes assessing of claims in line with business fund rules, product and core systems. This role is within the Customer Operations team within Health Insurance.

**What you will do**
- Assessing Hospital and Medical claims, as well as assessing exception reporting.
- Coaching Providers through customer contact for incorrect billing practices.
- Identify inappropriate claims and ensure that money is paid appropriately when releasing claims.
- Ensure that communication is of a high level and complies with Australian Unity standards.
- Maintain standard templates, procedures and protocols to compliance requirements
- Identify control gaps in existing processes and recommend improvements
- Ensure that all processes are clearly documented

**What we are looking for**
- Previous experience in a claims assessing role
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail
