The EU Delivery and Regulatory Response team is a dedicated team within Financial Crime Risk Mitigation (FCRM) that is responsible for coordinating NAB's response to the Enforceable Undertaking and Remedial Action Plan (RAP) agreed between NAB and AUSTRAC, with a specific focus on supporting engagement with the appointed External Auditor. Reporting to the Head of EU and Regulatory Response, this role will involve:
- Engaging with AUSTRAC and the External Auditor in relation to key RAP activities;
- Overseeing delivery of RAP Activities and liaising with internal stakeholders;
- Responding to information requests from the External Auditor;
- Managing internal reporting and communications relating to the Enforceable Undertaking.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Engaging with AUSTRAC, the External Auditor and internal stakeholders in relation to key RAP Activities and EU Progress.
- Coordinate and respond to information requests from the External Auditor.
- Develop and draft components of reporting to Executives and the Board in relation to the EU.
- Ensure that all engagement with the External Auditor is recorded and responded to in a timely and effective manner.
- Encourage and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, execution and continual improvement.
- Work effectively and collaboratively as a member of the FCRM EU Delivery and Regulatory Response team.
**What you will bring**:
- At least 5 years risk, audit, legal or other relevant experience, preferably with at least 2 years in banking and financial services.
- Experience with effectively engaging a wide array of senior stakeholders and overseeing and managing large scale projects.
- Extensive experience operating effectively and delivering consistent results in a large complex business or professional services environment.
- Financial Crime and/or Legal experience desirable.
- Knowledge of financial services and general banking processes, including an understanding of the regulatory environment in which banks operate.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in order to be able to clearly convey information and complex concepts to external and internal stakeholders (including drafting responses to requests for information from the external auditor).
- Sound business acumen - understanding of business processes, problem solving skills and ability to distil large volumes of data/information.
