**About the Role**

Our Energy and Utilities (E&U) business are seeking an experienced Safety professional to join our ever-growing team in a full-time capacity. This is a role based in Hexham working across various Industrial and Power Generation sites.

This dynamic role will involve exposure to a mix of disciplines with a focus on bringing people together to ensure we achieve our Work Health, Safety and Environment objectives whilst contributing to the innovation of the business.

As a Lead - Zero Harm, you will have the opportunity to guide, support and develop the operational team's mentality toward Safety to ensure adherence to the Downer Zero Harm standards, legislative requirements and above all else, ensure our people return home safely every day.

**About You**
- Previous experience working in Power Generation and Industrial sites is desirable
- 5 years' experience in a similar role as a minimum
- Demonstrated experience in working with clients to harmonise asset owner and contractor systems and processes
- Previous experience working / supporting Shutdowns and / or Construction/ Mining Projects
- Diploma in WHS as a minimum
- Cert IV Trainer & Assessor certificate is desirable
- ICAM investigation skills and competency a minimum
- An understanding and a working knowledge of WHS practices and current legislation
- Competent with Microsoft Office and other software packages
- Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, communication, and problem-solving skills.
