DGH is on the lookout for a safety-driven, hands-on
Workshop Supervisor - Fabrication or Mechanical
to lead our fabrication workshop team in Emerald. If you're passionate about people, projects, and precision, this is your chance to take the reins and make a real impact.
You'll report directly to the Southern Area Manager and play a key role in managing daily operations, meeting project deadlines, and upholding our high standards of safety and quality.
This is a locally based position — the successful candidate must reside in Emerald or be willing to relocate.
Permanent full-time | Long-term career
Emerald-based (local or willing to relocate)
Great pay + 12% super + 5 weeks annual leave
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and mentor our fab team in the workshop and onsite
Quote, estimate, and help secure new projects
Keep jobs moving — safely, on time, and on budget
Source gear and materials to get it done right the first time
Manage key relationships with clients, councils, mines & government entities
Uphold DGH's standards for quality, safety, and teamwork
What You'll Bring
A trade qualification in Fabrication or Mechanical
Real-world experience — workshop + site work
Strong skills in quoting, estimating, and job costing
Leadership that motivates and delivers
A knack for problem-solving and solid communication
Ability to juggle priorities and make smart decisions on the fly
