We are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated and experienced female Disability Support Worker with a nursing background to join our growing team. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance, according to individual care plans.
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and other manual handling tasks.
- Perform basic health monitoring, such as checking vital signs and wound care, as required by nursing training.
- Support clients with their daily activities, including meal preparation, household tasks, and social participation.
- Ensure the emotional and mental well-being of clients through empathetic support and companionship.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, case managers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate client records, including progress notes and incident reports.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Cert III/IV in Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent.**:

- **Nursing qualifications (RN or EN) or relevant nursing experience required.**:

- Previous experience in disability support or community care preferred.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Manual handling and medication administration knowledge.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of cultural sensitivities and diverse client needs.
- A caring, empathetic, and patient approach to working with clients.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Subcontract, Casual, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $24.67 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
