As a Product & Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing product portfolio performance, identifying sales and profit opportunities, and transforming complex market and competitor data into actionable insights.You'll collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in Sales, Product and Marketing to understand the drivers behind performance and support the development of commercially viable product and pricing strategies.
Your work will directly contribute to maximising incremental sales and profit through effective product planning and positioning within the automotive landscape.Your main responsibilities will include :Go-To-Market (GTM) Meeting Data and Insights – ensure monthly materials prepared, minutes taken and distributedMaintain DA Pricing and tactical Simulator to review impact on index positionSupport Product Managers with New Model and Lifecycle Planning ActivitiesMaintain calculators and assess legislation and compliance impacts of product & volume plans on the wider businessConduct market analysis as needed to inform product planning and other areas of the businessAssess price positioning against competitors and produce insights that inform key price management decisionsWork closely with marketing to track lead conversion metrics against targetsTrack tactical offers and impact on sales performance for all models and key competitors.Prepare monthly performance review report of priority models performance against key performance indicatorsReview channel mix performance against budgeted planHighlight new entrants, segment developments, competitive insightsWork with marketing to understand how the assigned product has been communicated and what media SOV and channel mix is versus sales performanceAssess enquiry vs targets to predict future salesUnderstand key specification advantages and disadvantages for Passenger vehicle model range versus competitorsAbout youTo succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following :Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a relevant field (desirable)Experience in Automotive or similar role preferred but not essential.Experience with data management including advanced Microsoft Excel & Tableau skillsAbility to analyse key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)Data Management and High attention to detailAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsKnowledge of the Australian Automotive environmentStrong communication skills both written and verbalUnderstanding of New Car Features and SpecificationsTime Management skillsStrong Organisational SkillsBe a product ambassador for the Volkswagen brandOur Benefits, Rewards and Recognition include :A culture of continuous learning, growth and development.
