Job Title: Financial Planning Analyst – Network Engineering domain Contract Type: 9-Month Contract (High Possibility of Extension) Location: Sydney, NSW We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic IT Financial Planning Analyst with a strong background in Business Analysis to support our Network Engineering and IT Operations teams.
This role is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between finance, technology, and operations—bringing together financial planning, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement in a technical environment.

Key Responsibilities: IT Financial Planning & Budgeting: Lead the development and management of Annual Operating Plans (AOP) for IT and Network Engineering.
Monitor and report on budget performance , variance analysis, and forecasting.
Collaborate with finance and technical teams to align financial goals with operational strategies.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership.
Business Analysis & Process Improvement: Conduct requirements gathering , stakeholder interviews, and gap analysis to support IT initiatives.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop and maintain process documentation , workflows, and SOPs.
Support change management and adoption of new tools or processes.
Network Engineering & Technical Collaboration: Work closely with Network Engineering teams to understand infrastructure needs and project impacts.
Translate technical requirements into financial and business terms for stakeholders.
Assist in planning and tracking network upgrades, deployments, and maintenance projects .
Project & Tool Management: Use JIRA to manage tasks, track progress, and report on project milestones.
Create and maintain dashboards and reports for project visibility.
Support agile project management practices and sprint planning.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between finance, IT, and engineering teams .
Communicate complex financial and technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Skills & Knowledge: Strong experience in financial planning and analysis within an IT or network engineering environment.
Solid business analysis skills with experience in process mapping and stakeholder engagement.
Proficiency in JIRA , Excel, and financial modeling tools.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Understanding of network engineering concepts and IT infrastructure.
Experience with agile methodologies and project management.
Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments.
Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Finance (CPA, CFA) .
