What does the job look like?

Linfox Logistics Australia is a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider, offering a wide range of services to customers across multiple industries. We are currently seeking an energetic, accomplished and high-performing State Manager QLD to join our team in Acacia Ridge.

As the State Manager Queensland, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Intermodal Business Unit, excels in achieving the service delivery, growth, customer relationships and customer networking as set out in the Business Strategy. You will also be accountable for managing the full range of operational functions within Intermodal in a manner that achieves or exceeds plan. Key areas:

- Delivering the Queensland Intermodal financial plan, translating strategic priorities into operational reality.
- Identifying, evaluating and addressing risks by obtaining accurate financial data and identifying key issues and relationships relevant to achieving the business strategy.
- Delivering customer excellence, ensuring that the customer's perspective is a driving force behind strategic priorities, business decisions, business processes, and individual activities.
- Ensuring processes are in place and operating effectively to enable understanding and communication of compliance obligations to all Queensland Intermodal employees.
- Identifying and leveraging opportunities to accelerate results and build capability by assigning tasks and decision-making responsibilities to individuals or teams with clear boundaries, expectations, support, and follow-up.
- Driving and leading continuous improvement and innovation and building and maintaining a high-performance culture through fostering a work environment that encourages people to implement better approaches and generate new solutions to address problems and opportunities.
- Leading the team, ensuring clear articulation of objectives both individual and team, providing feedback, instruction, development guidance and plans and supports the development of individual skills and abilities.

- Proven experience in Road/Rail/Sea and Transport Operations or related Transport Industry experience.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to energise, inspire, hold team members to account and deliver on agreed plans.
- Ability to work with complexity and ambiguity, coupled with strong problem-solving capabilities stretching across the full range of operational activities.
- Ability to use effective involvement and influencing strategies to gain acceptance of ideas and commitment to actions.
