Job Title: Building Estimator Leader

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to oversee the estimating process for commercial, industrial, and mixed-use building projects.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction methodology, codes, and local subcontractor market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of end-to-end estimating processes across various project types
  • Building and managing estimates using preferred platforms
  • Interpreting architectural drawings, scopes, specs, and schedules
  • Fostering relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants
  • Developing systems and templates to streamline submissions
  • Collaboration with construction teams for smooth handovers and cost control
  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to division growth

Requirements

  • At least 5 years' experience in building estimating (commercial, industrial, or resource sector) in Australia
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, codes, and local markets
  • Expertise in first-principles estimating, cost modeling, and risk assessment
  • Leadership qualities and ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with estimation software and tools
  • Clear communication skills with attention to detail and commercial acumen
