Job Summary
The role of Head of Tax is to drive and lead the tax function across Australia, with a view to expanding into Asia Pacific.
This is a hybrid compliance and strategic position where you will provide leadership and advice on corporate tax policy and participate in planning the organisation's activities to optimise tax costs and ensure tax compliance in line with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee timely and accurate tax compliance for Australia and wider AAC region.
Ensure integrity of tax filings & reporting, direct and indirect taxes across the Group.
Lead representation of the organisation to the ATO for audits, appeals and negotiations.
Formulate, implement and maintain tax procedures and policies across APAC.
Balance tight tax compliance with commercial acumen.
Manage relationships with external tax professionals.
Implement tax-effect accounting, including half-year and year-end statutory financial reporting.
Requirements:
Proven experience guiding and managing a team.
Broad tax and financial governance remit.
Strong business partnering skills.
