Our Rescue & Fire Fighting (RFF) services currently extend from stations in WA, SA, VIC, NSW and QLD.
Due to the evolving nature of this contract, we are currently employing a Watchroom Operator in our Fire and Rescue operations at Kapooka, Victoria.
This role can be a career as a Watch Room operator working within the Emergency Services and Defence Industry or the first step into a career as a Firefighter.
Responsibilities:
Maintain operational readiness in accordance with Ventia's policies and guidelines.
Respond to fire incidents, support and communicate with the Incident Controller as required.
Assist the Fire Station OIC with administrative duties related to operations.
Participate in fire station training and development plans.
Mandatory Requirements:
Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications in each of the five categories:
PUAFIR210 Prevent Injury
PUAFIR215 Prevent Injury (Superseded)
PUAFIR201B Prevent Injury (Superseded)
PUAOPE013 Operate Communication Systems and Equipment
PUAOPE013A Operate Communication Systems and Equipment (Superseded)

PUACOM001 Communicate in the Workplace
PUACOM001C Communicate in the Workplace (Superseded)
PUATEA002 Work Autonomously
PUATEA002B Work Autonomously (Superseded)
Highly Desirable:
Experience in a communications room environment.
Other Requirements:
Strong team orientation.
Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1.
Australian Citizenship is required.
