An exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join a WA State Government department.

**Your new company**

We have partnered with a large government department client to assist in their search for a Level 5 Finance Analyst. Reporting to the Manager of Budget Strategy, the role is to assist in management and capture of annual budget cycle information.

The role is based in East Perth and is a 3-month temporary assignment with extension possibilities. Ideally, you will be immediately available and ready to start as soon as possible.

**Your new role**

As a Finance Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

- Analysis of financial and/or budgetary trends to advise on budget strategy
- Financial modelling and advice on projects
- Participate in system development and improvement
- Prepare briefing notes, submissions and reports
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

**What you'll need to succeed**

Previous experience in budgeting is essential, as is:

- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Intermediate Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivot Tables)
- Tertiary Qualification is preferable
- Government experience is preferred
