Community Engagement Advisor

Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) is a consortium comprising of industry leading Tier 1 organisations – John Holland, Service Stream and WSP.
Sydney Water has partnered with D4C to deliver design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to Georges River.D4C is seeking a Community Engagement Advisor to join our dynamic,diverse and high performing team in an exciting time of growth.We need your skills and expertise to help Sydney Water deliver a $34 billion dollar program over the next 10 years to build, maintain and protect the future of our iconic water resources.Primary PurposeWe have identified an exciting opportunity for a community engagement advisor to join our project supporting the D4C team and working closely with our Sydney Water team to help communicate our vision with our people.We foster collaboration, innovation, and a supportive atmosphere.
You'll work with talented professionals who share your drive for excellence.Key AccountabilitiesDevelop, deliver and implement communication and engagement strategies to promote the brand, protect reputation, manage issues and deliver successful programs.Build and maintain effective and influential relationships with community and external stakeholders.Ensure the development and implementation of communication policies, programs and systems and monitor their effectiveness.Respond to escalate complaints and enquiries and feedback from a variety of channels, and oversee complaint response by partners.Coordinate and organise community engagement events.
This includes coordinating logistics across various locations, preparation of run sheets, presentations and speaker notes.EssentialDegree qualifications in a communications, journalism, marketing, research, community relations or related discipline or relevant experience.Experience with modern communication and engagement techniques and social media tools.Current driver's LicenseWe welcome and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTQIA+, people with disability, people with caring responsibilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and veterans.What's next?
