Be a part of a strategic partnership that provides you with opportunities to deepen your expertise and work at the cutting-edge of technology.What you will be doing:The Project Controller works with Project Managers to ensure and enhance delivery outcomes through expert guidance in project planning, scheduling, and financial performance monitoring.Implement a disciplined approach to project oversight.
Plan, monitor, control, and report on overall project status, providing analytical expertise to enhance project outcomes, performance and compliance.Track and report on projects financial status, including forecasting, variance analysis, and cost optimization efforts to support strategic decision-making.Ensure project schedules and resource plans remain accurate and reliable, aligned to DXC standards and delivery methodologies.Provide technical coaching and support to project teams on schedule development, especially for complex initiatives requiring advanced planning capabilities.Uphold DXC procedures and contractual requirements across all aspects of project control.The skills you will bring:QualificationsThis position requires the successful candidate to either currently hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government NV1 security clearance, therefore must be an Australian Citizen.Tertiary qualification or professional certification (e.g. Prince2, PMP or CAPM) in Project Management, providing sound understanding of Project Management principles, planning methods, and schedule construction.SkillsExpert knowledge of Microsoft Project and ability to support project management applications.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.Strong organisational, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and presentation abilities for engaging with teams, stakeholders, and clients.Experience in document quality assurance and formatting.Adaptability to change and ambiguity, with ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Proven team player with a proactive mindset and ability to build trust and rapport.ExperienceMinimum of 2+ years working in a similar role as part of a Program Management Office (PMO), supporting large programs with multiple projects and project managers.At least two years' experience working as a Project Scheduler using Microsoft Project.Experience managing project controls and reporting for large-scale programs, covering:Risk and issue tracking,Deliverable and dependency management,Schedule status reporting, financial management and reporting for complex programs.Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams in dynamic environments.Demonstrated success liaising, consulting, and negotiating with a diverse range of stakeholders.Your working environment In alignment with our commitment to fostering a flexible and dynamic work environment, we have adopted a hybrid working approach that acknowledges the importance of in-person collaboration while recognizing that the determination of your work location will be based on a range of factors to ensure both individual preferences and operational requirements are met.Our culture and benefitsDXC is committed to building better futures for our customers, colleagues, environment, and communities.
