We look to the future to guide the way we innovate, helping us stay relevant and responsive in an unpredictable industry.With the opportunity to work in an environment that fosters strong workplace relationships and inspires flexibility, your new position as Storeperson Distribution & Logistics will see you working with a small dedicated group.Located at our Brisbane Base Maintenance Hangar, this role is designed to support in the implementation and maintenance of world's best practice for warehousing, distribution and logistics.ResponsibilitiesTimely processing of all warehouse requirements in appropriate nominated timeframeFrequent monitoring of operational requirements in different parts of the warehouse with ability to reprioritise on demand in order to meet customer requirementsAccurate review and action of all facets of warehousing including Receipts, Binning, Issuing, & DespatchControl of Qantas and client stockInput into continuous improvement processes to ensure Distribution and Logistics continually improves in its productivity, efficiency and overall viabilityFostering a culture of cooperation across other elements of the logistics organisationTo Be Successful In This Role You Will HaveBe a highly self-motivated self-starter with demonstrated initiative and good organisational skillsWork well in a dynamic environment with the ability to quickly accommodate change and continuous improvement to meet the needs of our customers and stakeholdersHave the ability to build effective relationships and to manage and encourage a collaborative team environmentHave the ability to work without direct supervisionAbility to prioritise work and perform multiple tasks under time constraints & be able to meet strict deadlinesSound data entry skills and high attention to detailMinimum two years experience in a warehousing environment performing receipting, binning and despatch transactionsGood understanding of logistics planning and inventory controlWorking knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Manhattan Software (Desirable)Current Manual Motor Vehicle Licence (Essential)A Forklift Licence (Essential)Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)Flexibility to work on a day or night shift roster if requiredQantas is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
