The ClientOur client is a registered pharmacy outlet chain located in Ashmore in Queensland.The RoleThey are seeking a full time Network Analyst to join their team in Ashmore in Queensland.This is for a full time position at an annual salary at $80,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation.The ResponsibilitiesInvestigate and analyse network architecture to provide strategic recommendations and develop policies for enhancing the organisation's network structureEstablish and refine network design standards to ensure alignment with business objectives and security protocolsAnalyse and interpret complex network designs, architecture models, and system diagrams to facilitate integration and configuration tasksDevelop scalable network solutions that meet security, performance, and reliability requirementsAssess network infrastructure to ensure efficient performance and optimal system stabilityIdentify and implement enhancements to hardware, software, communication protocols, and system configurationsOversee the configuration and deployment of network environments to ensure stability, security, and operational readinessManage the installation, setup, testing, and maintenance of new and upgraded networks, software applications, servers, and workstationsDeliver advanced technical support to resolve complex network issues and urgent system faultsDiagnose connectivity concerns promptly and escalate critical issues when requiredDevelop customised network programming solutions to meet unique business requirementsAutomate repetitive network management tasks to enhance productivity and performanceCreate and manage comprehensive documentation for network configurations, inventory, and maintenance protocolsMaintain clear records of system faults, solutions applied, and network adjustments to ensure accurate documentationTrack network traffic, usage, and capacity to ensure optimal system integrity and performanceIdentify potential performance issues and recommend effective measures for improved system reliabilityThe RequirementsAt least a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering or a closely related field is requiredAt least 4 years of experience managing firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco ASAMinimum 4 years of experience in network analysis, design, and supportMinimum 4 years working with VPNs, remote access solutions, and secure connectivityMinimum 4 years working with cloud networking solutions such as Azure or AWS for hybrid environmentsProficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switchesStrong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other core networking protocolsExperience with wireless technologies and access point configurationFamiliarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or WiresharkHands-on experience with network performance tuning and optimisationKnowledge of network security principles and best practicesExperience with VLANs, subnetting, and routing protocols like OSPF and BGPCompetence in supporting VoIP infrastructure and Quality of Service (QoS) configurations
