**About the role**:
As part of the Melbourne Logistics team, this role reports to the QHSE Officer, assisting in conducting risk assessments, investigates incidents, and ensure that all HSE information is updated and disseminated to relevant parties.

**What you will be doing**:

- Work closely with internal stakeholders on the following:

- Risk assessments
- Complete, update & review site-level QHESE Risk Assessments & countermeasures
- Planning activities
- Assisting staff with planning emergency response scenarios
- Recording outcomes on the Emergency Response Review Form and following up and acting upon scenario outcomes
- Distributing of procedures or documents whilst uploading requested Acknowledgement or Training forms
- Conducting in-house procedure retraining following the activity planner
- Complete Improvement Forms and Incident Reports accurately and generate the best outcome
- Keeping the team updated on all Health & Safety matters
- Updating QHSE noticeboard regularly
- Ensuring registers are reviewed and updated following the Activity Planner (including Emergency Information and HSE Registers)
- Training and developing staff
- Conducting company & regulatory QHSE inspections and updating the systems
- Assisting Managers with the induction of any new staff, temporary employees, extended visitors & contractors that enter the site whilst signing and issuing appropriate documentation
- Take part in internal & external audits
- Reporting
- Incident investigations
- Record meeting and training correctly and scan minutes to the relevant disk drive
- Report any incidents to the External Sources within the required timeframe

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Qualifications in Diploma of Work Health & Safety or Certificate IV Work Health and Safety
- Eagerness to learn and to take on additional training where identified or required
- Basic understanding of data analysis & reporting measures

Desirable:

- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly organised
