A day in the life of

Leadership - Inspire and motivate the team. Set the direction by aligning team goals to the company vision and strategy. Build a healthy environment of trust and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Contribute to Product Development - Be a strong collaborator on product decisions.
People Management - Develop talent by ongoing coaching, mentoring and challenging. Make sure your team has the right skill sets to accomplish its goals.
Technical Ownership - Have a high-level sense of your team's software architecture. Lead technical discovery of future work and guide technical decision making. Bring a strong Product mindset to all technical decisions. Monitor technical health metrics and ensure the right balance between Delivery & Technical Excellence.
Project Management - Break down complex topics into smaller, manageable tasks in collaboration with Product and UX. Manage internal and external stakeholders, communicate relevant information in a timely fashion. Coordinate work with team-external dependencies. Identify, manage and communicate risks.

You can fill these boots with

Proven track record of managing engineering teams
Software development experience on Senior level
Passion for agile software development, product discovery and continuous delivery
High aspiration for quality balanced with a good sense of pragmatism
Advanced understanding of design, implementation and operation of distributed services and APIs
Ability to thoroughly evaluate, employ and teach new technologies and concepts
Effective oral and written English communication skills
Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies is a plus: Java, Kotlin, Swift, Spring Framework, web technologies, node.js, react and non-relational databases
