
National Supply Chain Lead

Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a National Supply Chain Lead to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity, based at our Yarraville, VIC head office. Reporting to the National Supply Chain & Logistics Manager, this role will play a crucial part in developing and managing planning processes that deliver customer-satisfied solutions and drive operational improvements across the Sugar Australia and Wilmar Ingredients businesses.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the development and management of effective supply and distribution plans to ensure customer satisfaction and cost-effectiveness for both Sugar Australia and Wilmar Ingredients.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement within the supply chain and leading projects that enhance efficiency and deliver measurable value to the business.
- Working closely with all Sugar Australia facilities to develop optimal manufacturing plans and ensuring effective communication and data sharing across teams.
- Acting as the S&OP lead, linking demand forecasts with operational plans to provide the lowest-cost service model.
- Driving the integration and standardisation of planning processes between Sugar Australia and Wilmar Ingredients, ensuring clarity and consistency across operations.
- Leading change management efforts to update supply chain processes and reporting standards.
- Providing leadership and mentorship to the supply chain team, promoting professional development and high performance.
**What we're wanting you to bring to the table**:
This role is ideally suited to someone with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement. You should have:
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years S&OP supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Background in food manufacturing or FMCG environment desirable.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and advanced knowledge of SAP.
- Strong focus on delivering against goals and maintaining high standards of performance.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of internal and external customers.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
