Overview
Test and Validation Engineer - CyberSecurity (Defence Project)
Our client is currently looking for a Test & Verification Specialist to lead the development, execution, and coordination of cybersecurity test procedures for a complex, critical system integration program.
This role ensures security controls are robust, compliant, and ready for accreditation.
Australian citizenship is required for this federal government program.
Responsibilities
Develop, automate, and execute cybersecurity test procedures across integration and test facilities
Debug procedures on test benches and support formal verification campaigns with IRAP assessors and security stakeholders
Record and report test results, generate KPI metrics, and raise defects where security gaps are identified
Collaborate with Sub-System teams to define and verify correction plans
Plan and coordinate testing activities in alignment with platform readiness and control maturity
Support integration teams in understanding and implementing security features
Conduct on-site verification across Australia to demonstrate compliance and readiness for accreditation
Requirements
Experience in cybersecurity testing, verification, and defect management
Strong understanding of security controls, accreditation processes, and IRAP standards
Excellent coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work across technical teams and operational environments
Familiarity with national security or aviation systems is highly desirable
Must be Australian Citizen
Secure, 12 month ongoing contract to start ASAP
Work on a critical system implementation program - 5+ years worth of work
