Eucla is the easternmost locality in Western Australia along the Eyre Highway near the SA border.Overview of the role: As a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Remote Area Nurse Practitioner, you will provide and coordinate primary health care services to communities, including remote locations.
Responsibilities include emergency care, chronic disease management, child health, immunisation, health promotion and education to ensure high standards of care.Ideal CandidateExtensive clinical experience with strong assessment, triage and emergency management skillsIn-depth understanding of chronic disease management and primary health care principlesExcellent leadership, organisational and supervisory skillsAbility to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team, particularly in cross-cultural settingsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with community stakeholdersProven capability in coordinating medical evacuations and responding to emergency situationsCommitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to WA Country Health Service policies and proceduresKey ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical leadership and consultancy to patients while coordinating weekday clinics in local communitiesAdminister emergency care, including transport, assessment, treatment and referralCoordinate and organise medical evacuations as per WA Health and WA Country Health Service guidelinesEstablish collaborative relationships with health and community personnel to deliver quality servicesDevelop and implement health promotion programs in consultation with local communitiesAbout The OpportunityThis position is a Fixed Term Full Time or Fixed Term Part Time appointment with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.
