**Position**: Laboratory Assistant - Microbiology

**Location**: Bowen Hills, Brisbane, QLD

**Employment Type**: Part-time (Evening Shift: 6:00 pm - 1:30 am, Monday to Friday)

**About the Opportunities**:
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is seeking dedicated and motivated **Part-Time**Evening** Laboratory Assistants** to join our **Microbiology Department** at the **Bowen Hills** laboratory.

**Evening Shifts**: Evening shifts run from 6:00 pm to 1:30 am, Monday to Friday. A minimum of two shifts per week are required. Weekend day or night rostering and participate in public holiday roster may be required when appropriately trained.

**Key Responsibilities**:
After training has been provided, some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):

- Preparation and handling of microbiology samples
- Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- General laboratory housekeeping and administrative tasks

**About You**:
Prior knowledge/experience in a microbiology laboratory or in microbiology laboratory techniques will be advantageous.

**The successful applicant will also ideally have**:

- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- The ability to prioritise tasks, work methodically and efficiently, and meet deadlines
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- A proactive and flexible approach to changing work demands
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on supporting scientific and clinical staff
- Commitment to occupational health and safety policies
