Sustained growth and a priority to caring for our people has created the need for a Group wide role to lead the continued development of our safety culture. This is a strategic, long term role for an experienced WHS professional to take a leadership role in further developing and implementing our WGA Safety culture. In partnership with our Board, Executive and Regional Leadership teams, you will be able to utilise your extensive experience and influence to advise, create and execute our safety strategy.

You will lead our Safety Committee, working collaboratively with People and Culture, Operational, Project leadership and Risk functions to continue to enhance our approach to:

- Training, awareness and education
- Risk management and advice
- Audit and assurance
- Compliance
- Leadership support
- System management and reporting

- Tertiary Qualifications in WHS and appropriate industry experience
- Proven exposure to the development of company-wide Safety strategy, ensuring an exceptional standard of risk management is implemented across all projects and Regions
- Change Management experience
- The capacity to review existing systems alongside industry best practice with the ultimate aim of developing a bespoke system befitting WGA's fantastic organisational culture
- Proven ability to interpret policy and legislation
- A passion for safety and taking an active role in developing and providing proactive solutions which will contribute to our strong safety culture
- Ability to contribute to an exceptional and inclusive team environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, an ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a team environment
