As the Engineering Manager for Daniels International, your role will involve managing the manufacturing of the industrial washline equipment. You will be responsible for the assembly and commissioning of the equipment, building the machine to a set BOM and deadline. You will mange the staff involved in the manufacturing, scheduling work and ensuring it is completed on time and to the required quality standard.
- Reporting to the Global Engineering Director, you will take the initiative on engineering improvements to the equipment or manufacturing process to reduce costs and production times. Working with the design engineers to complete Engineering Changes and introduce new parts, methods and processes. You will work with the stock / warehouse staff to ensure parts are ordered on time and inspected on delivery.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for scheduling and coordinating work for manufacturing activities, such as washline production, lathe/mill maintenance and repair to any support equipment e.g. air compressor.
- Responsible for scheduling and coordinating manufacturing of washline equipment
- Manage the requisition of tools, equipment and consumable supplies for the manufacturing team
- Communicate job expectations to direct reports i.e. providing daily direction, department focus and on-the-job training as needed
- Inspect completed work for conformance to drawings, specifications, and standards
- Enforce safety, security, and environmental health regulations
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work
- Support and implement continuous improvement activities as required
**Experience, Skills and Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facility Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable work experience with a minimum of 8-10 years' work experience in a related field
