Client Manager - Public Accounting (OPEN TO MEL,SYD,BRISBANE based candidates)We are looking for an experienced and proactive Client Manager with a strong background in business advisory, tax compliance, and tax planning, combined with proven client relationship management skills.This role is ideal for CA/CPA-qualified accounting professionals with 3–5+ years in public practice who are looking to step beyond day-to-day compliance and move into a more strategic, client-facing position.
You'll bring your technical expertise to the table while playing a key role in supporting and advising a portfolio of accounting firm owners across Australia.As a Client Manager, you will serve as the main point of contact for your clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service, guiding strategic conversations, and supporting the implementation of professional development and business improvement programs.
This role blends client advisory, program coordination, and the use of digital tools to drive meaningful outcomes for firms.Please note: This is a primarily remote position with occasional on-site meetings or event attendance.
While we prefer candidates based in Melbourne, we are also open to those located in Sydney or Brisbane.Key Responsibilities:Manage and grow strong, trusted relationships with a portfolio of accounting firm clientsProvide strategic guidance on business advisory, tax planning, and compliance-related issuesCoordinate and support the delivery of professional development and leadership programsOversee CPD tracking and compliance requirementsLeverage technology platforms (e.g., GHL, Kajabi, Zoom, Monday.com) for program and client managementLead event planning and engagement reporting activitiesIdeal Candidate:CA or CPA qualified, with 3–5+ years' experience in public practice accountingSolid background in tax compliance, tax advisory, and business advisory servicesDemonstrated experience managing client portfolios and building strong relationshipsConfident communicator with excellent interpersonal and project management skillsTech-savvy and comfortable using CRM, LMS, and project toolsPassionate about professional development, consulting, and driving business growthUnlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
