**THE OPPORTUNITY**

An exciting opportunity exists for a **Junior Payroll Officer** to become part of our finance team Over time, your fundamental experience will develop where you will become immersed in all payroll related matters, maintaining the integrity of payroll system data.

Based at our corporate office in **Gepps Cross**, and reporting to the National Payroll Manager, you will become involved in processing monthly, fortnightly, and weekly payroll for Australia and New Zealand. Working as part of a team you will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates for new hires and contract updates, provide accurate calculation of staff leave entitlements, including long service leave, prepare ad hoc payroll and operational reports, and assist in responding to internal and external enquiries.

As your experience and expertise grows, you will become involved in the continuous improvement and streamlining of payroll processes, ensuring legislative requirements (such as payroll tax) are met within the mandatory time frames.

**ABOUT YOU**
- ** Essential -** Well versed with Microsoft Office including a strong aptitude for Excel
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders with discretion and confidentiality
- Demonstrated Administration skills from within a corporate office environment
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- ** Desirable -** Experience gained in a payroll officers' capacity.
- Experience using Preceda, EmpLive or Dayforce
- Ability to work proactively and with a high level of initiative
- Advanced problem-solving capability, with the ability to resolve payroll matters
