Intensive Care Specialist Opportunity
The Department of Critical Care Medicine (DCCM) is a tertiary-level unit providing expert Intensive and High Dependency care to over 1400 patients annually.
Our dynamic, fast-paced environment offers complex, multidisciplinary care across specialties including cardiac and cardio-thoracic surgery, ECMO, neurosurgery, trauma, vascular surgery, burns, obstetrics, and general medical and surgical cases.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in an energetic environment with access to various clinical and research projects, where your skills will have a tangible impact daily.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate quality improvement and nursing practice initiatives.
Lead clinical risk management strategies to ensure best practices and patient-centered outcomes, provide clinical advice, and act as a role model.
Evaluate current practices, develop policies and protocols, foster a culture of learning and research, oversee application of National Standards, monitor care outcomes, and report findings to staff and hospital committees.
Contribute to nursing education and participate in safety and quality processes.
