**What you'll be doing**
As a Rotable Controller & Purchasing Officer role you will effectively Manage Contracts and Inventory to support the needs of the Part 42 Maintenance Organisation (CAMO) by ensuring maximum availability of inventory, optimising expenditure, compliance to Authorities Regulations.
- The timely procurement and/or sale of all components and spares to meet the needs of the Part 42 maintenance schedule
- Management of all VARA CAMO expendable/ Rotable stock holding both forecasts against maintenance due lists and minimum equipment requirements as per AMP. To ensure maximum availability of expendables is achieved in support of aircraft availability
- Manage and control stock holdings of all expendables/ Rotables ensure Min/ Max quantities are sufficient to maximum aircraft availability
- Optimise expenditure to ensure maximum quantities are not exceeded
- Provide AOG support as part of the Procurement team as and when required
- Ensure "Minimum Equipment list" (Expendables) requirements are managed and reported to Maintenance Watch and Commercial & Procurement Manager
- Expedite the lead times of orders so as to ensure stock availability is maintained at all times
- Coordinate and facilitate 'sale' of obsolete/BER and/or excess parts
- Manage expendable repairs and ensure timely turn around
- The professional controls of inventory so as to ensure the stock holdings are maintained
- Review and carry out weekly acquittal of 'stock replenishment report and orders'
- Maximising spares parts availability on consignment or deferred payment schemes
- Review and acquit MFF/FOF reports daily
- Review and acquit Loaner/ Exchange reports daily
- Review and acquit Warranty report weekly
- Track and report daily on AOG status report (AOG Report)
- Review and carry out weekly acquittal of 'stock replenishment report and orders'
- Assist with negotiation and manage annual Vendor contracts
- Liaise with the Accounts Department on invoice queries and issues
- Carry out other duties as required by the Commercial and Procurement Manager.
**Who you are**:
- Experience with stock control in an aviation environment
- Experience in records management and traceability
- Experience with interpreting Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins as they relate
- High attention to detail
- Ability to comply with OH&S issues
- Ability to comply with Environmental Management
- Excellent organisational skills
- Computer & Microsoft office Skills
- Proven interpersonal skills
- Strong Communication
- Knowledge of Purchasing procedures
- Knowledge in the receiving inspection process as it relates to aircraft components, major assemblies and hardware
**You'll be great in this role if you**
- Microsoft Office 360
- Specialised Inventory software IAS or TRAX
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role in the Aviation industry
- Previous experience in an airline operational logistics department
- Knowledge / understanding of TRAX or IAS system
- Broad understanding of CASA, JAA and FAA airworthiness requirements
- Technical knowledge in aircraft engineering or related field
