The company directors, Karyn Johns, and Anne Walker, both have over 20 years' experience providing therapy services across a range of sectors in Australia. **About the role**
As an Allied Health Assistantbased across our two clinics in Upper Coomera and Nerang, you will work alongside our team of experienced therapists to provide intervention to children and adolescents with communication disorders and disabilities.
There are a variety of exciting opportunities to work in our clinic, local schools and community. The office is well-resourced with a variety of assessment tools, therapy materials and clinical software systems.
**Casual position** (flexible hours - 8 to 24 per week). We love hiring students who are studying to become Speech Pathologists and are happy to work around changing university class and placement requirements.
This role will encompass the following responsibilities:
- To provide therapy assistant services for individual and/or assist in group programs by following a therapy plan designed by a qualified therapist to clients with delays and/or disabilities.
- To assist qualified therapists to maintain client records and monitor invoicing for individual and group programs.
- To support resource development and community promotion and sales.
- To communicate in an accurate and timely manner with the Director and Administration team about changes in appointments and to confirm that appointments have occurred.
- To monitor and review client's progress against a therapy plan and to report on findings in progress notes to the treating therapist and/or principal speech pathologist if requested.
- To support new client intake processes and help with wait list management strategies.
- Undertake appropriate professional development, including self-reflection.
- To work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic therapy programs. when children are receiving more than one allied health service.
- To comply with all company policies and procedures.

- Currently studying a Bachelor or Masters of Speech Pathology (3rd or 4th year)
