Your Opportunity:

Join our team as an Allied Health Assistant supporting Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality care in Residential Aged Care settings. Your role will include both hands-on clinical work and essential admin tasks.

You'll assist in delivering evidence-based care through mobility and functional activities, one-on-one sessions, group-based active ageing programs, and care plan follow-ups.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in delivering all physiotherapy services in accordance with Plena Healthcare's operating procedures and policies.
  • Servicing RAC clients according to the Allied Health Professionals treatment plan.
  • Transporting residents to and from the therapy gym area or their appointments under the direction of physiotherapists/occupational therapists.
  • Setting up and packing away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning the area and equipment.
  • Collecting referrals and performing administrative tasks as guided by physiotherapists.
  • Ordering prescribed equipment.
  • Running exercise groups or programs.
  • Supporting initiatives to meet client and contract expectations.
  • Consulting with physiotherapists/occupational therapists regarding adaptations, changes, or progressions of treatment plans for clients as appropriate.
  • Participating in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare's policies and procedures.
