Hours per fortnight: 58 hrs per fortnight (with ability to pick up additional hours up to 76 per fortnight)

**Role Description**

This HIS role is located in both Bendigo Health's Clinical Service Campus as well as the Bendigo Health Emergency Department, covering a variety of HIS roles. All HIS staff may be redirected to work within other areas of the Health Information Services team across Bendigo Health, to cover staff shortages, as required and will be trained in all areas of the department to enable flexibility and movement within the team.

HIS plays a critical role in supporting a dedicated team of professionals including medicine specialist doctors, critical care trained nurses, nurse practitioners specialising in emergency care and physiotherapists with expertise in urgent conditions. Supported by technical and other administration staff, the role incorporates a wide and varied selection of responsibilities, the main focus of which is registrations and admissions of patients presenting to the ED along with documentation/data management to ensure all relevant patient information is correctly stored in the patient's digital/electronic record.

**Hours Available**

The Health Information Services teams operates 24/7 with hours currently available across three shifts, rostered on a fortnightly basis:
AM - shifts range from 6 to 8 hours between 7am and 4pm

PM - shifts range from 6 to 8 hours between 3pm to 11pm

Overnight - 8.5 hour shift between 10.30pm to 7.30am

This advertised role is for 58 hrs per fortnight:
Week 1: Mon, Tues, Fri 8.30am to 4.30pm

Week 2: Mon, Tues 8.30am to 4.30pm, Thurs 9am to 4pm, Fri 8.30am to 4.30pm, Sun 9am to 4pm

Please note the HIS team operates 365 days per year with a requirement to work on weekends and public holidays as rostered.
