**About the Role**:
Permanent oppportunities for Forklift Operators (Morning Shift - 6am to 2.30pm) to join our team at the Container Park.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Forklift Operator will work closely with container control staff to ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded within acceptable timeframes. In addition, this position is also responsible to locate and make accessible off-hires, sale, long stay or any other boxes required by the customer and perform other duties as directed by the Operations Manager.

**The role and responsibilities will include**:
To ensure safe operation of the forklift

Follow all safety policies and procedures

Keep forklift in a clean and tidy condition

To ensure containers are stacked correctly, safely and in correct location

To ensure efficient depot productively through effective use of the forklift

To ensure that appropriate start up checks are conducted at the beginning of each new shift. Includes all checks of tyres, fluids and operating elements. Report all problems and/or safety concerns to the Operations Manager or Depot Manager

Responsible for ensuring implementation of, and compliance with, all relevant depot policies and procedures, in particular those relating to OH&S

**To be successful for this role, you will need**:
To be a qualified Forklift Operator (with current and valid High Risk Forklift Operator's certification)

Experience in container park operations

Any exposure in handling Shipping containers would be highly preferred

A team player with good communication skills

Surveying knowledge with supervisory skills would be desirable
