**Job description**

Queensland Hydraulics is looking for a driven, dynamic, experienced hydraulic/Mechanical Fitter in a workshop based role. You will be responsible for the assembly of hydraulic cylinders (new cylinders), and repair work (disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, test of rams), and hydraulic power unit assembly (pipework and hydraulic component fitting of new systems). Welding skills are also required.

You will be supported by a team of engineers to assist with your knowledge and understanding of fluid power/hydraulics

This full-time role suits a person who is reliable, hard-working, has good attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.

**Qualifications**
- Fitter trade with minimum 5 years experience
- Hydraulics experience would be an advantage (however we are willing to train the right person)
- Welding TIG & MIG
- Ability to understand production drawings and produce quality workmanship, on time and to stated tolerances

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Disassembly, repair, reassembly and testing of hydraulic cylinders
- Building Hydraulic Power Units
- Welding duties
- Overseeing and being a role model to apprentices within the workshop on learning and practising correct and proven Fitting methods

**Remuneration** (Approximately 90k-120k, including super)
- Site rates between $57 - $65 per hour (depending on job and location)

Queensland Hydraulics offer full turnkey fluid power solutions that include design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and maintenance. We also design and manufacture a proprietary range of hydraulic cylinders built to international standards as well as offer a hydraulic cylinder repair and precision machining service

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
