**Your new opportunity**:
Commission newly installed generators and associated equipment. Provide technical support to customers, the Energy Solutions team and the broader Penske Australia business. This role will require travel to customer sites throughout Australia and could be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

In this role you will:

- Commission and service MTU generators, control and auxiliary systems in accordance with manufacturer, client and project requirements
- Provide technical support to Penske Australia branches, OEMs and end customers in the Energy Solutions market within Australia and New Zealand
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers, manufacturers, and local suppliers to provide excellent technical support
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to conduct failure analysis and resolve product issues
- Work closely with Project Managers and other Energy Solutions team members to successfully deliver projects
- Develop, maintain and comply with generator installation, commissioning and trial/test procedures
- Enhance Penske Energy Solutions commissioning capability by mentoring and providing on-the-job training to technicians.

**About you**:

- A-grade Electrician
- Minimum 5 years previous relevant industry experience
- Relevant prior experience with electrical diagnostics, fault finding, modifications and installation/ commissioning of complex electrical/mechanical systems
- Sound knowledge of diesel and gas engines, generators, controls, switchgear and auxiliary systems
- Computer literacy at a level necessary to develop effective presentations for internal/external customers, to effectively utilize diagnostic, programming and controls software and to write technical reports
