Generator Installation and Commissioning Specialist

The Generator Installation and Commissioning Specialist will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of generators and associated equipment. This role requires excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

About the Role:

  • Install and commission generators and associated equipment in accordance with manufacturer, client, and project requirements.
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of generators and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective generator installation and commissioning procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and Commissioning: Install and commission generators and associated equipment in accordance with manufacturer, client, and project requirements.
  2. Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of generators and equipment.
  3. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
  4. Procedure Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective generator installation and commissioning procedures.

Requirements:

  • A-grade Electrician with minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Prior experience with electrical diagnostics, fault finding, modifications, and installation/commissioning of complex electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Sound knowledge of diesel and gas engines, generators, controls, switchgear, and auxiliary systems.
  • Computer literacy necessary to develop effective presentations for internal/external customers, utilize diagnostic, programming, and controls software, and write technical reports.
