_About the Role_

We are looking to hire support workers around the Perth Metro, for a variety of clients. The role of the Support Worker is to work with clients within the NDIS funding framework, assisting them to achieve their goals and increase their independence and participation within the community. All clients require support in their residential home with basic duties being providing medication, assisting with errands, shopping and appointments and domestic duties. Other clients may have more high-care needs, Support Workers will promote and demonstrate positive behaviours and decision making to clients and assist with socialising.
- Preferred Experience_

Our clients work best with support staff who are able to keep them engaged in the home, providing them with adequate assistance in keeping their lives full and interactive in waking hours, assisting them with morning routines, medication and home cleanliness. This position would require support workers who are used to dealing with challenging behaviours and are adept at assisting the clients with their full attention at all times and redirecting where needed.

**Preferred at least 6 months - 1 year experience, and a Cert III or higher in disability or a similar field.**
- Key duties include:_
- Taking clients out for social outings and activities, dinner or errands.
- Providing personal care.
- Domestic duties and meal preparation/eating assistance.
- Challenging behaviour management.
- Medication Administration.
- Hoisting.
- Appointment management and assistance.

Skills & Experience
- As well as the above skills, the Key Requirements include:_
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and 4x Module Completion
- Manual Handling Certificate
- First-Aid/CPR Training Certificate
- Proof of working rights - Passport, Visa, Citizenship
- Valid West Australian driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Working with Children Check issued in Western Australia.
- Experience with challenging behavior
