**About the opportunity**

As **Relationship Manager, Financial Institutions** you'll take full ownership for a portfolio of our customers, you will lead the end-to-end management of client relationships, financial performance, and service delivery.

Joining our Retail, Brand & Marketing Division, you'll drive account growth, retain existing business, and ensure the seamless delivery of contracted services. Success in this newly created role means building strong senior relationships, improving service quality, and collaborating across the organisation to deliver value and innovation.

**What you'll deliver with us**

In this role, you'll identify and qualify opportunities to expand customer accounts by cross-selling multi-product and complex solutions, working closely with internal specialists to develop and close new business. You'll also ensure a seamless customer experience by coordinating all interactions between the client and Australia Post's experts across service, sales, product, and implementation.

**You'll also**
- Develop and implement customer-centric strategic account plans to effectively prioritise sales and service effort, protect existing revenue, and ensure a deliberate approach to maximising revenue growth of AP's Banking, Financial services and government accounts.
- Manage account relationships by leading regularly planned sales and service calls with Senior Executive level stakeholders to explore pain points and ensure excellent customer experience.
- Engage with customers on key retention activities through the full lifecycle of the customer contract, including renewing existing contracts, conducting annual price reviews, and reviewing surcharge compliance.

**About you**

You're a seasoned relationship manager with a strong background in banking or financial services, confident in managing large, high-value clients. You thrive in end-to-end roles, bringing a strategic mindset to managing change, leading projects, and delivering results. You're not just a people person—you're a trusted advisor who knows how to find, keep, and grow business. You're considerate yet assertive - solution-oriented and not afraid to challenge the status quo when it means doing what's best for the customer and the business.

**You'll also need**
- Significant experience selling complex B2B solutions to large business customers including identifying, qualifying, proposing and closing sales opportunities.
- Sales discipline knowledge including sales techniques, account planning, business development, opportunity planning and reporting.
- Sound knowledge of banking and financial services regulatory and compliance environment is desired.
- Strong knowledge of solutions, products, services, new and possible technology offerings, industry players and developments in digital ecommerce.
- Strong knowledge of commercial, legal and contractual practices and obligations.
