Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Institutions Advisor to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Financial Institutions team, you will play a strategic role advising clients on M&A, financing, and other significant corporate activities within the financial institutions sector in Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to conduct market and industry research within the financial institutions sector, organize and prepare marketing materials, presentations, and assist in client relationship management. You will also develop valuation models, pro-forma financial statements, and comparable company analyses, as well as assist in due diligence, transaction management, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting market and industry research within the financial institutions sector
  • Organizing and preparing marketing materials, presentations, and assisting in client relationship management
  • Developing valuation models, pro-forma financial statements, and comparable company analyses
  • Assisting in due diligence, transaction management, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Investment Banking or other boutique advisory experience, as well as a track record in Australian M&A transactions. You should also possess advanced financial modelling and financial analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to excel under pressure amid demanding deadlines, a strong sense of personal integrity and teamwork, and a high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts.
