**The Client**

Verify Consulting are currently working with a leading global aerospace and defence technology company that is committed to recruiting and nurturing a diverse and talented workforce. The company recognizes the importance of having employees who are passionate about their work and dedicated to fulfilling the mission of their customers. We are currently looking for an experienced principal Program manager to act as a strategic and trusted partner.

**The Role**

The Principal, Program Manager is a critical role that carries strategic responsibilities and requires a high level of expertise in program management, particularly in the context of complex defence programs. This position serves as a trusted partner to the client group, embedding program management strategies into day-to-day work and offering professional guidance and support to internal stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**

The primary objective of the Principal, Program Manager is to add value to the business by effectively leading and managing programs. This involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of programs, from start-up to closure. The role requires the individual to have a deep understanding of defence programs and the specific requirements and challenges associated with them.

Key responsibilities of the Principal, Program Manager include:

- Strategic Leadership: Providing strategic direction and guidance to the program team and stakeholders (preferably with ADF or CoA)
- Program Management Expertise: Demonstrating extensive knowledge and experience in program management, particularly within the defence industry. Experience with estimates in excess of $300M.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with stakeholders, specifically Defence and Government clients.
- Risk Management: Identifying and assessing risks associated with complex defence programs and developing mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership: Leading and managing a team of program managers and other professionals involved in the program.
- Communication and Reporting: Effectively communicating program status, progress, and key milestones to stakeholders and senior management. Preparing comprehensive reports and identifying risk and opportunities in advance.

**Your Profile**

This Program Manager is a senior-level position that requires a leader with a strong background in program management, specifically in the defence sector. This role involves strategic decision-making, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and team leadership to ensure the successful delivery of complex defence programs. We require at least 10 years plus program management experience along with a degree or higher in program / project management.

**Experience working in the Defence industry is a must.
