We provide care that is trauma-informed, respectful, and human.We are now seeking a Senior Programs Manager to lead and oversee the effective delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services across our community programs.
This is a critical leadership role that blends strategic oversight with operational excellence, people leadership, and values-based decision-making.In this role, you will:Lead and coach Managers across diverse programs, ensuring trauma-informed, high-quality service delivery for all visitors.Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring services run effectively and align with Wayside's mission and strategic goals.Drive continuous improvement by reviewing policies, procedures, and service models, using data and outcomes to strengthen impact.Support staff and volunteers through workforce planning, training, supervision, and performance developmentBuild strong relationships with external stakeholders to enhance collaboration and visitor support pathways.Ensure accountability for financial oversight, budgets, and expenditure within organisational policy and funding guidelines.Lead a culture of safety and inclusion by embedding WHS, risk management, and safeguarding practices.Promote wellbeing, reflective practice, and learning across all teams, ensuring Wayside remains a safe and supportive place for visitors, staff, and volunteers.Represent Wayside in external forums, networks, and partnerships, and contribute to the organisation's strategic direction.We're looking for a purpose-driven leader with (selection criteria)A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, or ManagementAt least 8 years' experience in a senior management role within the social or community services sector.A track record of leading complex service delivery in trauma-informed, multi-disciplinary environments.Strong people leadership skills, including staff development, conflict resolution, and supervision.Expertise in operational planning, risk management, and service evaluation.Deep commitment to social justice and the values of compassion, respect, and inclusionWhy Wayside?
