A respectable, diverse and vibrant, Local Government Organisation is currently seeking for an Asset Protection Officer to ensure Council assets are protected from the effects of development and other construction activities through the administration of the reinstatement, asset protection and street protection systems.
**Your new role**
Reporting to the team leader, your day-to-day responsibilities will be:
- Supervision of contractors within Road Maintenance operations, including roads, footpaths, kerb and channel and drainage.
- Administer Council's reinstatement, road opening and street protection systems (collectively called Asset Protection) and report to the Coordinator as required.
- Provide road maintenance technical advice to ensure all works undertaken are to industry best practice.
- Liaise with and respond to residents, Council staff, contractors, developers, and the community regarding all aspects of Asset Protection.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified civil engineer, who has experience within Civil Works, Road Maintenance or Local Government and understand engineering construction standard. As well as the ability to provide direction and supervision to service authorities, contractors and developers.
